This Committee provides advice on matters relating to the extraction of basic raw materials throughout the State. Its principal focus has been the Basic Raw Materials Policy Statement for the Metropolitan Area administered by the Ministry for Planning.

Membership is drawn from the principal extractive industry companies.

The Committee currently meets on a bi-monthly basis.

The Committee reports to the Board through the Manufacturing, Engineering and Resource Forum.

Policy Issues - Industry Development, Basic Raw Materials Policy Statement, Regional Parks, Quarry Rehab Title, Duplication between planning and local laws affecting extractive industries.
