CCI is a private, not-for-profit business organisation - the largest of its kind in Western Australia and one of the most influential and respected chambers of commerce in the country.
CCI has its roots in founding organisations whose histories date back to the last century. It is directly descended from the original Perth Chamber of Commerce established in 1890.
CCI, as it is today, was formed in 1992 through amalgamation of the WA Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Confederation of WA Industry, which itself was born of a marriage in 1975 of the Chamber of Manufactures of WA and the WA Employers Federation.
For more than 120 years, CCI has been the undisputed voice of private enterprise in WA.
Our mission
Our mission is simple: CCI is here to make it easier to do business. That means we use our knowledge, influence and support to create an economic environment that encourages free enterprise, supports business and makes available relevant products and services to business.
With more than 6,000 members, both large and small and from all industry sectors, CCI is a credible and influential force in the push for a competitive, free enterprise economy.
CCI does collectively for business and industry what individual businesses struggle to achieve alone.
Our services
In keeping with our mission to help businesses in Western Australia run efficiently and profitably, CCI provides a one-stop-shop for any type of help of advice on managing, building or maintaining a business, regardless of size or sector.
CCI provides a comprehensive range of services which include a directory of public training courses, business directories, apprentice and trainee management, employee relations and HR consultancy, OSH and workers' compensation advice, help with importing and exporting, business migration services and many others.
In areas where CCI does not currently maintain an in-house expert, we will locate a credible and professional service provider.
In short, CCI exists to serve its members by:
- providing quality cost-effective support and services to help members build their business; and
- lobbying government to promote an economic and legislative environment that encourages the development of responsible private enterprise.
