Business Policy Forum
The Business Policy Forum provides advice to CCI's General Council on matters of a broad policy nature that impact on businesses across all sectors of the economy. Taxation Committee
Our Economic Policy and Taxation Committee aims to identify inequities and inefficiencies in both the federal and State taxation systems. Public Accounts Committee on Infrastructure Funding - May 07

This submission is in response to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) inquiry into funding arrangements for Western Australian infrastructure projects. The PAC inquiry is timely because the Western Australian economy is experiencing an unprecedented economic boom that has been, largely, driven by business investment. This rapid expansion of the economy has been hampered by critical capacity constraints that threaten to undermine continued business investment. With unemployment at record low levels and business's citing the skill shortage as a major inhibitor of expansion, adequate economic and social infrastructure are required to maintain a strong and vibrant Western Australian economy.
