Information about services / advice that is offered and provided to businesses affected by the gas outage:

• Financial Information Service seminars

• In your home - turn off lights when you've left the room.
• Replace the light globes in your home with new energy efficient ones.
• Turn lights off as you leave room and set gas heaters on low settings.
• Turn off appliances when not in use, install energy efficient globes and take shorter showers
• Turn off office air conditioning. Proportionately, this uses a large amount of energy. At this time of the year, we should find that the ambient office temperature is quite workable without the need for air conditioning.
• Turn off electrical equipment such as photocopiers and computers when not in use for long periods. The equipment still uses a significant amount of electricity on standby.
• Shut down city office block lighting ASAP after close of business.
