Australian Made, Australian Grown Campaign

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of WA (CCI) is a founding member of the Australian Made, Australian Grown Campaign and CCI International Trade Services is the WA agent and contact for new and existing subscribers.

Australian Grown is a new labelling scheme (launched 1 June 2007) for fresh and packaged goods, developed by the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry in conjunction with the Australian food industry.

With the introduction of Australian Grown, the logo is now helping Australian farmers, growers and processors effectively market their produce as Australian.

The Australian Made, Australian Grown Campaign is a not-for-profit independent organisation that administers the famous green and gold logo. The campaign aims to raise the profile of Australia’s manufacturing and fresh and packaged produce industries and encourages consumers to buy Australian.

With one of the strongest nation brands in the world, it makes sense to boldly and assertively label products as Australian. The Trademark is widely recognised as the symbol for Australian products internationally and is now used successfully by Australian exporters on a global scale.

The Australian Made, Australian Grown logo can only be used on products and produce that meet the criteria as set out in the Campaign's Code of Practice and which are registered with the Campaign.  Only authorised products may carry the logo.  A complete and up-to-date list of members and their authorised products is available on the website http://australiangrown.com.

The main tasks for the Australian Made, Australian Grown Campaign are to:

  • raise the profile of Australia's manufacturing and fresh and packaged produce industries and encourage consumers to buy Australian;
  • promote Australian Made and Grown goods in export markets around the world through the use of the logo;
  • heighten community awareness of Australia and Australian skills, achievements and potential - both in Australia and overseas; and
  • encourage improvements in quality, design and marketing.

The campaign secretariat provides national leadership, with the support of a highly qualified Board and a network of Foundation Members in every State.
