CCI is home to one of the State’s largest policy and advocacy teams. The Advocacy team aims to make WA the most business-friendly State in the nation by:
- developing expert, balanced policy that is good for business;
- working closely with members, government and other key decision makers in WA and across the country to achieve change; and
- building local and national awareness of the issues and challenges facing WA employers.
The Advocacy Team comprises a dedicated team of expert policy advisers providing support and influence across a core range of industry portfolios and issues, including:
- resources and energy;
- manufacturing;
- construction and infrastructure;
- climate change;
- environment;
- services;
- education and training;
- tourism; and
- taxation.
Underpinning our advocacy efforts are the CCI member forums and committees. These forums and committees allow members to contribute to CCI’s advocacy work by generating debate and feedback on various industry issues, which in turn help to shape CCI policy.
