Ongoing reform of the labour market is critical to assure Australia’s full participation in the global marketplace. A stable industrial relations system is central to a reformed labour market.
CCI has developed a model industrial relations system to support a responsive labour market in the modern globalised economy. It moves Australia’s system away from an adversarial and conflict model to enterprise focused engagement between employers and their employees based on free enterprise principles, economic sustainability and mutual responsibility.
CCI’s vision is for a simple, effective, relevant and sustainable industrial relations system that focuses on the enterprise and reduces regulation and interference by third parties in the management of a business.
The model system is informed by economic analysis, a history of industrial relations, experiences from the Workplace Relations Amendment Act 2005 (Work Choices) and the Fair Work Act 2009 and international systems research.
