With more than $170 billion of major projects planned for WA, the construction and infrastructure sector is a dominant player in the State’s success.
The CCI Construction and Infrastructure Forum gives CCI Members an opportunity to advice on and shape CCI policy in relation to the WA construction and infrastructure sectors.
Some of the Construction and Infrastructure Forum’s key priorities for 2011 are:
- a long-term strategic development plan for WA;
- addressing labour shortages, particularly the application of immigration policies for work in the construction sector;
- the need to develop Perth into a global ‘location of choice’ to attract new workers;
- local content policy;
- local government reform; and
- government prioritisation of major WA infrastructure projects.
