Influence

Its more than one hundred years of history has established CCI as one of the most influential and respected chambers of commerce in Australia. CCI’s member numbers are in excess of 5,650 and include a diverse group of businesses, both large and small, and across all industries. It is this breadth of representation and ongoing influence that makes CCI the undisputed voice of enterprise in Western Australia.

CCI has succeeded in influencing government policy and keeping public debate focused on key business issues, an area often overlooked or marginalised by politicians, the general public and special-interest groups. CCI’s councils and committees comprise representatives from across our membership, which includes large and small businesses from all sectors across Western Australia.

These forums help to identify issues of concern for business and industry and help direct CCI’s policy and lobbying strategies on behalf of members. This gives our policies contemporary relevance and credibility as we present them to government, parliament, the media and broader public.

CCI endeavours to ensure the views of business are represented in the public and political arena. Through this voice, CCI does collectively for business and industry what individual businesses struggle to achieve alone.
