CCI Membership is rich in opportunities to grow and maintain your business effectively, if you know how to get the most from it!
Getting to the bottom of what you need to know in business can often be the hard part. Add to this finding relevant and useful information or advice that will solve your problems and it becomes a maze of facts and data that most business owners have neither the time nor the specific expertise to wade through.
CCI exists to help you solve your problems. There are an enormous amount of services, products, information and assistance available through CCI and one of the biggest challenges facing CCI is helping our members to get the best possible return on their investment.
Below are a few tips to assist you in getting the most from your membership:
- Encourage as many people as possible from within your business to use CCI. It is common for members to get into the habit of using only a few of the services available, as the key person(s) using the membership only has the time to access the CCI services specific to their role in the business. If you can encourage broad use of the many areas of CCI you will always gain a greater return on your investment.
- Put as many people as possible from within your organisation on CCI’s “What’s On” e-mailing list, and also "CCI’s Business Bytes" e-mail newsletter circulation. These two e-mail publications give you a great snapshot of what’s going on within CCI, and also keeps you up-to-date on all of the current business issues and events.
- To be added to these e-mail lists please e-mail membership@cciwa.com and include “Please add me to What’s On and CCI Business Bytes” in the subject line.
- Use CCI’s range of consultancy services for any specific issues that you may have in your business. CCI offers discounted member rates on all consultancy services; therefore if you ask us to provide a quote for your required service you will gain a discounted rate, while also accessing highly qualified professionals. If you use CCI for your range of needs, and use the discounts to your advantage, you will see greater savings in the long term. Discounted services include; industrial relations, migration, OSH, workers compensation, international trade, training, publications in a range of areas, events, e-commerce, economics and more.
- Take the time to read (or at least “scan”) the range of correspondence that CCI sends you, and circulate the material throughout your business. This will help you and others from within your organisation, to gain a broader knowledge of the areas in which CCI can advise, assist or inform you. CCI often adds to the suit of services it offers members, and reading CCI material is the most effective way to find out about new services you can access (or remind you of old ones you’d forgotten about!).
- Ask the question “What else can CCI do for my business?” of every person you speak to at CCI. If you have used CCI to assist you in any given area, ask what else available to you. Your contact can either tell you about other services, give you some literature explaining the services available, or will put you in touch with the membership team to have this discussion. Being pro-active in using your membership will gain you greater return, in both the short and long term.
