CCI plays a pivotal role in the development of business and industry through our General Council, policy forums, industry committees and working parties, all of which work hard to encourage government reforms to:

• overcome or eliminate impediments to innovation and competition
• eliminate constraints to business where the outcome will be of benefit to the business community as a whole
• enhance opportunities in the market place.

Put simply, CCI works hard to encourage governments to let business get on with business and allow competitive forces to resolve market issues.

CCI’s management is overseen by a Board of Directors whose policy positions are determined by a General Council which is supported by a number of policy forums and committees (as detailed in the flowchart below).

CCI’s Board and Policy Forums comprise representatives from its overall membership, which includes businesses big and small from a range of industry sectors. These forums help identify issues of concern to business and industry and help direct CCI policy and lobbying strategies on members’ behalf.
